In February 2013 she participated in her first SmackDown event. From then on, she has been taking part in SmackDown Main event and WWE's various other events. Total Divas was formed in September 2013 after she won the Tag-Team battle 7-on-7 against True Divas. Mendes defeated her during the game. Her biggest victory was in February 2014's Elimination Chamber when she defeated AJ Lee. In the next week, she faced an additional match against Lee however she was unable to retain her title. Ariana then competed against Lee and also brought home victory at Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational. In July 2014, Nikki Bella was in the same handicap contest as Summer Rae Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae. Ariana only was there to face Nikki Bella. Subsequently, she got an opportunity to play Naomi in the Battleground show's pre-show. Ariana won over Naomi in this match. In the end, their rivalry started. In the summer, they wrestled in handicapped singles matches and tag teams. She competed in various matches with other wrestlers, such as Paige Bella twins Alicia Fox as well as Asuka.
